Avery and I took a trip to NY for Thanksgiving. We rode the train with Cousin Patricia and Aunt Carol, navigated through Penn Station with all of our crap and finally made it to Poquott on Long Island. Just when we thought we could relax after a long trip... the house filled up with 18 crazy friends and family members. In addition to family the Thompsons joined us too (Ella and Sidney below)!
Avery ate turkey for the first time and actually LOVED it. We also had a nibble or two of some NY Bagel and Pizza crust. It was a great time!

Chill'n with Dad
Gigi sent a new toy. It was out of the box for five minutes and already has dog hair stuck to it, but it is lots of fun to play with :). Maybe Eric will let Avery have a turn soon.

Fun Fall Times...
The McAuliffe family was nice enough to host a Fall Festival at Cross Creek Nursery this weekend. Aunt Jessie and I packed up Avery and the camera to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings. Due to a poorly timed meltdown/nap we missed the DeLuca and McAullife families. But....we did see the Capozellos, met a nice witch and went on a hay ride. Fun weekend indeed!!

Dinner Party
We recently had a visit from our good friend Jim Naylor as he made his rounds along the east coast. To celebrate we had a little dinner party with the McAulliffe family and Emily DeLuca. Jim was put to work shredding pork and making pisco sours - I hope we didn't scare him away from visiting again...

Friends and family have mentioned that there has been a lack of Avery pictures floating around. We have been caught up in every day life and time is flying by. However, when we stop and take notice of what is going on - we realize this little nugget is changing every day. Since our loved ones are scattered all over the country we realize how handy this blog thing is and have a renewed enthusiasm for sharing our adventures with Avery Elizabeth Holmes with all of you.
She is rolling over both ways - a five month old skill - she is obviously very gifted. She has been laughing and smiling at just about everybody she meets - quite the social butterfly. Here are some pictures of life at four months old....
